The unit performs a wide variety of services for the Ministry and the community in general. Production of supplementary, complementary and stand-alone educational resources is designed to promote equality of opportunity in education throughout the nation. State-of-the-art Technology is harnessed to provide interchangeability of information across several media and for long-term archiving of the material.
The Learning Resources Section is a support arm of the Ministry of Education.It is designed to assist teachers by providing educational materials, equipment, and by producing educational radio and television programmes and other teaching materials. It is composed of three units: Educational Broadcasting/Distance Education, the Teachers Media Library and the Writing Unit. Facilities include conference rooms.
Services include:

production of digital audio-and video tapes for broadcast - classroom and private use;

coverage of in-house and public events for publicity, educational and archival purposes, using still photography, audio- and videotapes;

production and dissemination of professional training tapes, capturing and duplication of copyright-free audio and video material for educational purposes;

production of aural examination taped for the Testing and Evaluation Section; technical assistance for public and private entities;

consultation services for educators with the need for audiovisual material;

production of Photo Identification Cards.
