Procedure for Acquiring Use of Facilities

So as to conform to the prescribed specification as outlined in this Policy, the applicant shall apply and then submit all prescribed fees and bonds by cash or certified cheque to the office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry. In the exercise of his/her powers as the chief financial officer of the Ministry, the Permanent Secretary may designate some other qualified subordinate or public agency to act on his/her behalf in the collection/receipt of User Fees, particularly in Family Island Districts. Thereafter, the applicant will be directed to liaise with the Department to organize all his/her logistical requirements and to obtain access to the given facility.

To be factored into the User Fees shall be all miscellaneous charges, inclusive of extraordinary or overtime labour requirements to be performed by Maintenance Staff of the Department. At all facilities, all exceptional electricity, water and other utility supplies will be the responsibility of the applicant.

All user requests will be considered on the first come – first served basis. Preferred treatment will be given to the National Federation whose discipline the facilities was primarily designed for.
