Teachers are expected to plan lessons well, teach and accept teaching and modeling of pro-social/positive behaviour, as important as the teaching of academic and vocational subjects. They are also expected to:
- Foster sound educational practice and productive learning;
- Keep accurate, up to date records;
- Respond to students in a caring and respectful manner;
- Display impartial behaviour to all students;
- Enforce rules and regulations firmly, consistently and promptly;
- Use rewards for good behaviour as well as punishment for negative behaviour;
- Assist with the promotion of a strong home/school/community partnership in order to maintain a safe healthy and positive learning environment.
