Career Path Unit
Career Path System for Public School Teachers
And Administrators
The Career Path System for Public School Teachers and Administrators was established June 1, 1997. The system was designed for the purpose of promotion, reward of merit pay and the strengthening of teaching/learning experience in the education system. A Career Path Unit was established simultaneously to oversee the Management of the Career Path System. This separation from the Human Resource Section was deemed necessary to ensure the efficient management of the assessment process and the inclusion of the technical expertise required from educators. Every effort therefore, is expended to:
- maintain confidentiality with regard to the assessment data
- limit perceptions of prejudice
- achieve parity in the assessment process
- heighten the correlation between successful candidates and outstanding job performance.
The Unit points the way to improved:
- Lesson Preparation
- Teaching Performance
- Research
- Evaluation
Details of the structure, process and procedure of the Career Path System are given in the Career Path for Public School Teachers and Administrators Booklet.
