Teachers

Teachers express concerns to Minister at Freeport meeting.

Teachers are expected to plan lessons well, teach and accept teaching and modeling of pro-social/positive behaviour, as important as the teaching of academic and vocational subjects. They are also expected to:

• Foster sound educational practice and productive learning;
• Keep accurate, up to date records;
• Respond to students in a caring and respectful manner;
• Display impartial behaviour to all students;
• Enforce rules and regulations firmly, consistently and promptly;
• Use rewards for good behaviour as well as punishment for negative behaviour;
• Assist with the promotion of a strong home/school/community partnership in order to maintain a safe healthy and positive learning environment.
